1. Are gaskets used where the plenum connects to the runners and/or where the runners attach to the intake manifold? I need to get at my EGR valve and wanted to have all the supplies on hand before tearing into it.
2. In the section on plenum removal, my Haynes manual doesn't say anything about first needing to take off the throttle body. Looking at the motor, I don't see how this could be possible. Does the throttle body have to come off before you can take off the plenum?

If you are a gator fan, I should need speak to you, I'm a Buckeye fan!
hahaha.
1) Yes, there are gaskets everywhere: between the plenum & runners AND between the runners & intake.
2) You can leave the TB on the plenum (I think). Just disconnect the throttle wire and any other connection(like the kick down cable). I have removed the plenum many times with leaving the TB bolted to the front of the plenum.
Be sure the mark all the hoses be color or number as you remove or disconnect them. Even take a few pictures. This will greatly aid you when it comes to reassemble everything.

Thanks for the info. When you remove and replace the plenum, do you need a new gasket set or do you just re-use the existing ones?
