No fuel pump prime no injector pulse, help.

I have an 89 formula 305 tbi, with a 90 tpi from a corvette. It was running fine until about two months ago, it just cut off and i have been unable to restart it since. I replaced the fuel pump first, after many attempts to prime it. New fuel pump in and no change. After checking to make sure that the pump was getting power (it is), i checked the injectors, they have power but will not pulse. I also pulled the fuel line to the injectors to make sure there were no clogs, and was rewarded with a twenty foot feul geyser, needless to say, there was no clog. The car will run if you stand in front of it and spray starter fluid in the throttle body, but dies as soon as you kill the juice. I am in the process of removing the spliced wiring harness, from the firebird/vette, which waas a total nightmare. I have a new stand alone harness for the motor that should work fine, has anyone else encountered a problem like this? if so waht did you do to fix it. Spark seems to be a non issue, the entire fuel system has just killed off, and did so while i was driving the car. All fuses have been checked and are in working order. I am at my wits end, and i need my car. Any ideas?

Also if anyone is interested, i work for keystone automotive in charlotte nc, if any of you third gen bretheren need sheetmetal for your cars i may be able to get it for you on the cheap. Hit me up at cceubanks@lkqcorp.com.

Thanks

Chris.

My 92 305 TBI (which has been sitting untouched for 2 years) does this too. It would run as long as I was spraying carb cleaner or gas in it. While getting a new fuel filter at Auto Zone today, it was suggested to me by someone who had the same problem before that it might be the distributor. They had gone the same route I am..from front to the rear..before discovering the distributor wasn't sending juice to the injectors or something like that. I have another post on here trying to confirm the validity of this before I drop down the cash on a new distributor. I really need to get this beast running again so I can get it into the shop for new floorpans and tires.

CHRIS there are ground wires coming out of the ecu that must be grounded to chassis// make sure one of those is not broken. Also if you have a dead shorted injector it will cause 12 volts back to the ecu through the non chassis ground in the injector circuit.. Ohm check the injectors..any below 10 ohms is bad.. below 5 its shorted. unplug the bad one and see if it starts.. it will start on 6 injectors.

injectors have the correct power, but refuse to pulse, i have also read the post where the distributor fixed the problem, mine is 19 years old and has over 100k on it, is this about the time for a new one anyway?
