What's your Advice?
Which cam do you think I would be more likely to reach my goal of a 350-400 horsepower motor at the flywheel? My car is an 87 350 TPI with all free-mods. Edelbrock Headers, no emssions, smog,or a/c
And I have the spring kit that comes with the LT4 Hotcam(got in a deal)
My two cam choices are
Crane Cams grind #2032 or the LT4 Hotcam?'
What power numbers can I expect from the two cams?

Re: What's your Advice?
I had the 2032 in my 305 before I switched it and it was a good cam. I am not to crazy about it for a 350 but I like it more than the HOT cam. Here are the specs
Valve Setting: Intake .000 Exhaust .000 HOT
Lift: Intake @Cam 301 @Valve 452 All Lifts are based
on zero lash and theoretical rocker arm ratios.
Exhaust @ Cam 310 @Valve 465
Rocker Arm Ratio 1.50
Cam Timing: -- @---
Lift: Opens Closes ADV Duration
Intake --- --- 270 °
Exhaust --- --- 276 °
Spring Requirements: Triple Dual Outer Inner
Part Number 96802
Loads Closed 107 LBS @ 1.800 or 1 13/16
Open 276 LBS @ 1.360
Recommended RPM range with matching components
Minimum RPM 1800
Maximum RPM 5800
Valve Float 6400
Cam Timing: TAPPET @.050
Lift: Opens Closes Max Lift Duration
Intake 0.0 BTDC 34.0 ABDC 107 214 °
Exhaust 47.0 BBDC (7.0) BTDC 117 220 °
Good mid range cam should work good in you lightly mod'd 350
Who knows on the HP, I think though for that target HP rating the hot cam may be better to reach that goal but as of NOW the Crane is a better choice. I may be wrong so someone can correct me if I am.

Re: What's your Advice?
Well, I plan on ditching the head eventually, but stock for now with an LT4 Spring Kit,I do plan on using a TPIS Bigmouth intake along with extrude-honed Edelbrock Runners also with custom chip. LMK what you think
Thanks!!
BTW I know the specs of both cams!!

Re: What's your Advice?
so with my current heads I can only run the 2032 without machining the heads? Could I possible reach 350hp on that combo along with my other mods till I can afford new heads and swap cam again?
LMK
Thanks
ps the iroc is finally coming along after almost a year n half of having em

Re: What's your Advice?
Its kind of a hard decision. When I had the 350 in my car, all I had was some edelbrock shorties and edelbrock heads along with a zz9 cam and made 292 to the rear wheels. I think the zz9 cam had a little more lift than the 2032. I would go with the 2032
