Holley stealth ram
i'm about to buy a HSR and i'm just curious am i going to need to change my heads? i'm hearin that i need to go with the vortec heads.

not sure where you heard that but no you dont need to change heads. HSR works pretty good on stock L98/LB9 style heads
if you wanted to get vortec heads and run HSR you can still do that just fine. they make a vortec HSR intake. while your at that stage might as well add a cam too

my friends actually got a set of heads that had just got a fresh three angle valve job done and he wants to sell to me for 300 i'm not sure what kind of heads they are but they came off hes 383... would i be good to get those?

depends on your goals. what do you want the car to do? if your just looking to swap an intake then you dont need heads
