02 sensor question

I have an 86 truck with a tpi 350. I installed headers and had the 02 bung welded on the top of where the collector connects. I just whatched a car show that stated if you move the 02 further away from the stock location the 02 sensor will not read correctly and the prom will have to be reprogrammed. The only difference I know is that the ecm won't go into closed loop, I have a heated 02 for that reson, is this true?

Re: 02 sensor question

Good question. I'm not sure either, but I'd like to know since I'm having 02 issues myself. I have headers and the bung is in the same location

Re: 02 sensor question

The idle is kind of rough, it runs ok, I will have to retune the prom.
