First, welcome to TGO. I suggest you spend a lot of time reading new posts and using the search button to try to find details on any question you could possibly have. I have found that I am usually not the first to experience a given problem.

As far as the benefits of TPI.. Well, it provides a lot of torque at low RPMs but falls flat up top. It probably gets better fuel economy than most carb setups although some here would probably argue that.
