Any input would be great
Ok ,heres the deal- Ive got a 327 stuck in a S10 with a 89 tuned port system retro fitted to it. Jims performance did my harness work and Scott Hanson did my chip burning b/c of oversize cam ect. Brand new 21 lb injectors and all that. All of this was put together in jan when engine was rebuild ect. It ran great up until last week. When I go out and crank it now it cranks ,runs for a few seconds and dies. If you give it some gas and hold it there it tries to fall on its face through the low rpms and finally about 2500 it cleans out and you can let off but it wont idle down - stays around 1200. If you try to connect it to a scanner it acts like you dont have anything connected-like the key is off. If you let it sit there and run it will run -all idled up like that - for 20 to 30 min. And then all of a sudden -like you fliped a light switch- it idles down, starts to hit a lick, and runs perfect. You then look over at your scanner and your connected, no fault codes , all parameters look fine. I tried a different computer with the same memcal ,cleaned all my grounds, made sure the bulkhead connector was tight and making connection, and changed the following parts-mass air burn off relay, mass air relay, fuel pump relay and ignition module(I had working spares of all those parts sitting around). When I assembled the engine shortly after I changed the tps b/'c it would stumble a little right at first acceleration. And yes the tps is set correctly.
After it starts running correctly it does just that with no problems so its hard for me to point at faulty parts especially since Ive changed all that I have. If you let it sit more than 30 min after it starts running correctly then it starts again with poor idle and you have to go through it all again till it decides it wants to run right . I can definatly say the problem has nothing to due with temperature. Any suggestions????

Maybe bad connection? Bad memcal? See if you can get a hold of a different memcal and chip. Im sure even a stock one wouldnt hurt anything, just wont run prefectly but might make a difference and possibly isolate your problem.

Re: Any input would be great
Well I talked to Scott last night to see if he would burn me another chip . He said sure and I went out to the shop to get my spare memcal. I thought ,just for sheets and giggles ,Im gonna put this spare computer back in it and see. So I changed it out again, turned the key and she fired right up. I think it had multiple problems when I tried the spare computer last time as I did find the hot wire coming out of fuel pump relay tring to back its way out of the plug while all this was going on. So for now its fixed. Thanks for the input.
