I am building up my new engine,and when I installed my new inj. in the f/r last night I found one of the retaining clips is missing.
Anyone else run an eng. with one missing?I don't know if I'm going to run into a leak problem. Any input is appreciated. Thanks

 

Shouldnt be a problem. The fuel rail is bolted to the intake manifold and that should be sufficient to hold the injectors in place.

 

Why take chances with a fuel leak?
GM can get 'em for you.

 

Well thanks guys.I assembled the f/r w/o the clip so,we'll see what happens!
I left the missing one easily accessible so if I do find myself with a leak
I can find a clip and position it in w/o tearing half the dang intake apart.
I don't know how I lost it in the first place but go figure!Just my luck.
Last month I had about 3 different sets of inj. laying around the garage(some good some bad) decided it was cleanup time a couple weeks ago and everything went in the trash!Oh well!
