fuel problems

im having problems with the engine getting fuel, i just replaced the ignition module and im running a 88 iroc TPI with the l98 350
i had the chip tuned for the lt1 injectors, did away with the smog system and egr. and i have a remote coil distributor. what would cause it to cut out when ever i lay the hammer down and not when i take it easy. i have a BBK adjustable fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure gauge, and high flow Bosch fuel pump and new fuel filter, and its tuned about 50 lbs. i have no clue whats going on, or what would cause the fuel to just cut out. any help would be great. thanks

What's your fuel pressure when it bogs?

Re: fuel problems

the gauges are under the hood and it happens erratically, it has happened when i stomped on it from a stop, it happened when i was slowing down from 45, and it happened when i was cruising at 65. i have tuned it sitting still in the driveway and brought it up to 5500 rpms and it doesn't lose power. and the fuel stays at a constant 52-55 lbs. i replaced the fuel filter about a week ago.im running a stock coil and when it happens i can use starter fluid and it will start and run for a min. could my fuel pressure regulator diaphragm need to be replaced? could the spring be worn out and dropping fuel after it reaches a certain rpm after being driven for a while?

Re: fuel problems

Are you using a pressure gauge with a hose? Tape it to the windshield and take it for a ride.
