Bad Fuel Injectors,Fuel Pump?
Okay, I know you guys probably see my other post on here about a driveability issue, well I was reading my "How to tune and modify GM TPI" book and it seems as if my fuel pump or fuel injectors are bad. I just changed the fuel pressure regulator with a BBKK afpr and before I changed it fuel pressure was 20 psi on the gauge and after I changed it out fuel pressure was still 20psi but bounced around on the gauge.
heres the link to my other post in caseyou havent seen it:

"My car idles fine but when I push down on the gas the car acts like it wants to die. Also once i get it warmed up the car doesnt want to start anymore after its at operating temperature. I also have to keep feathering the pedal to get the vehicle to move anywhere(mash on the pedal up and down)"
also after the car is warm it will not start back up!!

Re: Bad Fuel Injectors,Fuel Pump?
I am actually surprised that your car runs with such low fuel pressure. Low fuel pressure will also cause your injectors not to operate properly. Why did you replace the stock AFPR? Was it leaking? You can pinch the return fuel line and see if pressure rises. If it does, than it is probably the regulator. If it does not, it could be the fuel pump. You can check the resistance across your injectors if you want to make sure that non are shorted out, but I would not worry about bad injectors until you restore proper fuel pressure. Another thing that you can do is check the fuel pump flow. Usually in a failing fuel pump will put out less fuel over a certain amount of time. To do this you will need an assistant. Releave the fuel pressure from the system and disconnect the fuel feed line fro the fuel real. Attach a hose to it with a contaner on the other end to catch the fuel. Energize the fuel pump by applying battery voltage to ALDL terminal G, this I think is the lower left terminal. A properly operating fuel pump should put out 1/2 pint or more in 15 seconds. Another thing that is easy to do is change the fuel filter if it has not been changed in a while. A restricted fuel filter can cause the same kind of symptoms. It is a cheap thing to do and if it improves your fuel flow and fuel pressure than that saves you a whole lot of hassle.

fuel filter was changed not longer than two weeks ago, problem persisted before and after fuel filter swap. I think my fuel pump is bad cause i cant here it click on or make any whining noise or anything.
Also i changed the regulator with a BBK afpr because someone told me that it could be it. Diaphragm is not leaking because not fuel is coming out of the vacumn line

I put my money on the fuel pump. Make sure to replace the pulsation damper with a new one, or use a piece of "Fuel Injection" line to connect it to the sending unit.
