IMO, Loosing low-end depends if you're keeping a stock Tq converter.... keeping the TPI???

Lingenfelter stated in his book "modifying small block Chevy engines."
"when I have 2 cams of the same duration, I will choose the cam with the most lift"

LT4 Hotcam=
Operating Range: 1,800-5,800 RPM
Advertised Duration: Intake 279 Exhaust 287
Duration @ .050 : Intake 218 Exhaust 228
Lift with 1.5 Rockers: Intake .492" Exhaust .492"
Lift with 1.6 Rockers: Intake .525" Exhaust .525"
LSA: 112'

Comp Cams"XFI" 268 Hydraulic Roller Camshaft
Operating Range: 1800-5800 RPM
Advertised Duration: 268°/276°
Duration @ .050'' Lift: 218° Intake / 224° Exhaust
Lift: .570"/.565" w/1.6 Rockers
Lobe Separation Angle: 113°

Comp Cams "XFi" 260 Hydraulic Roller Cam
Operating Range: 1200-5200 RPM
Duration Advertised: 260° Intake / 270° Exhaust
Duration @ .050'' Lift: 210° Intake / 218° Exhaust
Valve Lift w/1.6 Rockers: .560'' Intake / .555'' Exhaust
Lobe Separation Angle: 113°

If your keeping the stock intake and Torque converter the XFI 260 might be your best bet.... going with a higher stall and keeping the original TPI intake will just shorten your powerband.
the XFI 260 has a newer cam design with faster ramps, big lift and loads of time under the curve.

just my

make sure you know what lift your heads will tolerate before selecting a cam....
Unless you wanna do head work as well.

Re: stock cam in tpi350
