IIRC, the EGR may be different. The distributor cover is different. The fuel lines may feed the right side of the engine instead of the left, and the fittings on the fuel rails point forward instead of left.
The '88 setup used a cold start valve, and your '89 does not. That will be another wiring change.
Why wouldn't you retain the GTA's TPI unit? There are no functional differences - The Corvette TPI is not any better just because it was bolted onto a Corvette engine. The only change you will have to make is altering the center intake flange bolt holes to allow the 90º bolting of the Corvette heads.
