screw in studs

can someone give me a link to some good screw in studs for l98 iron heads..... i want to use those heads for another project....the studs must work with oem stock style self locking nuts because im using the stock style self aligning 1.5 rockers..... i thought these would work but they wont work with stock style self locking nuts.... these heads will be used on a .495 lift cam.....

Re: screw in studs

I don't see why they wouldn't work with stock-style rocker nuts...?

Re: screw in studs

Try these, no hex just shouldered. You tap the head and the shoulder bottoms out on the head. I'd get one of those tapping fixtures to make sure you start the tap straight unless you have a bridgeport type of mill to do the tapping.

Re: screw in studs

Go to GM and ask for a set for an LT1/LT4 - the aluminum head LTx used screw-in studs, no guideplates, and stock style nuts.

The aluminum head L98 used screw-in studs, guideplates, and stock nuts.
