Old Engine block/heads and 87+ TPI Help

Hey guys, I have some questions and I did a search and found lots of info saying that it needs to be done, but not how to do it.

I have a Pre86 350 block, Pre86 Patriot Performance 2181 heads and I have a 87+ TPI setup with intake.

I know I need to mod the intake to fit heads (mounting wise)

What & how do I do this so it's done properly?

Do an advanced search on this site for "bolt holes" and base

Re: Old Engine block/heads and 87+ TPI Help

Does anyone have the technical specs to do it so I can have a machine shop do it ? Or at least know where to get the spacers they talked about ?

I want to make sure it's done perfect.

Thanks

If you tell the shop what you need and show them they won't need any specs. It's simple to open the middle holes to fit bolts at the same angle as the outside holes. If they use a mill they will just set it up for the same angle as the existing outside holes, then cut the centers.
It doesn't require anything special and indeed most people complete this at home with a drill.

Just so I get it right, just get them to machine the 4 centers to match the rest of the holes on the intake so everyone of them is the same ?

I have the intake base you would need without having to do any modification. I would trade it straight up if you'd like. It's just sitting in my garage right now. It's off an 86 TA with all the bolts going the same way. Only thing I ask is you pay shipping to get this one out to you and ship the other one to me. I will take everything off the manifold so you can put everything from yours on to it. What do you say?
