Vapor lock in tank

Engine: 350 TPI L98
Vapor lock in tank
I have an 87 350 TPI, that will not run because i cracked the vapor line vent when replacing the fuel pump, is there anyway to get around this? some time it has enough pressure and others none at all. when i step on the gas it chokes like it is starving for gas. HELP PLEASE SUMMER IS COMING!
