87 Alternator Bracket?
Hi there..I am in the middle of a carb to TPI swap. I have a 87 Camaro with a 305 carbed engine (LG4).
I have almost completed my TPI swap but I was just curious about the alternator bracket?..Is that a special bracket for the TPI engines?..I have the V-belt system.
I have an alternator bracket like this:
I have done some research on Ebay and there it stands that this is the right bracket for TPI engines in 87...Is this really right?...

The tpi bracket has a different angle for the bolt that goes to the manifold. I could not find one so I have been using a carb type one with that part sawed off.

Re: 87 Alternator Bracket?
Here's mine on my 87 GTA....Yes. It has a bolt missing....The threads are stripped on the new compressor I bought. Been like that for 2 years now, so I'm not worried.
