Fuel Line Leak test

Hi,

I am interested in testing my new fuel lines.

Car : 87 IROCZ - TPI

Has anyone used the ALDL (terminal G) to turn on the fuel pump?

12 Vdc must be applied to this terminal to turn on the fuel pump.

How much current does the fuel pump draw?

Thinking about placing a fuse between the battery and Terminal G.

Best Regards,

Bruce

I've done it. I think it draws 10A or so.

Re: Fuel Line Leak test

It also just as easy to put a jumper wire into the oil pressure switch and run the pump. Its there in case the FP relay goes bad so the fuel pump will run once oil pressure is established.
should be right at the back of the engine on the drivers side.
Thats how I always check my fuel lines before going out on the road.
