which one?

im plannin on doing an engine swap soon to get rid of my 305 tpi...im looking pretty much for a 350 tpi, but someone just got back to me who may have a lt1...although im trying to keep the whole 'modernized restored' look with my car, an lt1 would be not only modern, but more powerful right? but i like the look of the tpi's so much more! is it worth it to tear my heart out about the niceness of a tpi for a lt1?

Re: which one?

I would go with the 350 TPI since it would be a much simpler swap (same wiring harness, etc). As far as being more powerful, it depends on where you want it. The LT1 does produce more horsepower but at a higher rpm. The TPI will produce less HP but a great amount of low end torque. It just depends on what you want to accomplish with your swap. For my 2 cents, I would swap the 350 TPI and then you could always upgrade parts later.

Just my opinion.

Hope this helps!
