Injector size
hey guys i just ordered some new fuel injectors 24lb, is it neccesary to have to do a tune or will the computer just learn it itsself thanks in advance

Ideally, the computer should be tuned. You are adding fuel, so unless there's additional air to match, it will run rich. You may be able to get by with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, bumping down the pressure a little.

Supposedly the ECM has enough play in it's own tuning to be able to handle a 10% variance in injector size. You should be fine. But as Ward said, "ideally" you should do it yourself.

24# injectors on stock tune? lol watch my vid....looks like a diesel that modified rolling that much black smoke LOLOL
ive got 24# Lt1 injectors in a base l98 MAP computer...needs tuned bad...
also...dont run a cat running this rich...plugged up one almost instantly on mine lol

Actually, the 24 lb injectors will be really close to what you have know. If you are running a 7730 ecm, all you have to do is change the injector flow rate using Tunerpro and a laptop. Total job after once you get all the pieces and parts shoudn't take more than 30 minutes.

You need to read the "Introduction to PROM Burning" tech article on this website to do your own programming. Its not as simple as ibmtech makes it out to be, for a newbie.
Hopefully there is someone local to you that can burn chips?
