in tank to inline fuel pump??

what do you have to do to switch to an inline fuel pump on a tpi 1991 trans am...can i just take the original sending unit out and just let the intake line in the tank alone and put my inline on??

The last time I heard of someone doing this, they were going to take the sending unit out of an early carb'd f-body (82-84) and use that. I imagine you could remove the pump from the sending unit and fabricate a tube to take the place of the pump, though.

a restriction to the inline pump

yes you can't have two pump they don't work together

No, the pump in the tank is not working,
you just suck through it and use the same line

It will act as a huge restriction if you try to pull through the factory pump. You will develop pressure but not volume. It wont run at anything over 2000 rpm.

so the solution is to take off the sending unit and replace it with what this is where i dunno waht to do lol! can i just put i line in tyhe tank that's it?
