You should notice some improvement if you're running the stock cam. Aside from the added lift, most designs of roller rockers have added durability and efficiency. I've had good results with Comp magnum roller tip rockers on a stock motor. IMO their worth the price...

You can see how much more lift on your cam at the bottom of this page. It's one of the cheaper mods you can do without tearing open the engine to install a performance cam. You'll notice that you come close to some of Crane Cam's "performance" camshift lift numbers (Although they use a 1.5 rocker) by installing 1.6 rockers on a stock block.
After that, just put in some headers, preferably 1-3/4" and and adjustable fuel pressure regulator and bump it up to about 46-50 psi (check your stock pressure and add 10% to that) and be happy because without dumping more money into the heads, cam, highflow runners, and chip, that's pretty much as good as you'll get on a N/A stock motor.

Re: 1.6 roller rocker advice
How about valve cover clearance? Are tall covers needed for 1.6 rockers? If yes, how much taller than stock ones?
