SLP Runners
I have the chance to get a set of SLP runners. The seller does not know what year they came off of, he bought them for his 86 corvette. I want to put them on my 89 TPI. What should I look for to tell what year they are for? What is the difference between the 9th injector on these runners, could someone show me some pictures?
Thanks,
Mike

Re: SLP Runners
The only difference should be that hole for the 9th injector. If his runner set has the hole then all you need to do is plug it somehow. Beyond that I believe there are no other changes.

+1, aftermarket vendors should sell cold start block off plates to accomdate you!
Not sure if they are compatible with SLP's, you could fab up your own as well.

Re: SLP Runners
If I get these will I need the bolt kit also? Is the part on the 9th injector that needs to be plugged the little tube running between the runner?
Thanks for the help,
Mike

Re: SLP Runners
What needs to be plugged is that hole on the bottom side of the runner,
ull see a gaping hole when you bolt them up to your manifold.. and normally
a car equipped with a 9th injector, would be coming off the back of the fuel
rail and plug into that hole.
In your case, you dont have one.. so it must be plugged with something.
What little tube you talking about? The one on the runner itself?
That doesnt need to be plugged internally, the block off plate serves
that purpose externally.
Im not sure if you'll need a bolt kit, mock it up and find out!
