Fuel problem, stalling.

Hi,
I have a 1985 Trans Am 305 TPI. The car stalls when going around corners, hard stops, down hills. I replaced the fuel pump and still have the carpet off and i can hear the fuel pump very well. The only problem is i dont hear it at all when the car is about to stall. It sounds like the fuel pump just cuts out and then the car stalls. It will start right back up if and run great. It also does not prime, but has not been priming for about a year.
If I jump the two end wires on hte fuel pump relay and the fuel pump is turned on by the jumper wire it does not seem to stall out. Without the jumper wire it stalls all the time.

Things checked:
Fuel pump
Vacuum lines
Relay

Not checked:
Fuel filter (looks newer)
EGR
FPR
Fuel pressure
ECM?
Where should i start?
Thanks

Re: Fuel problem, stalling.

Replace the fuel filter anyway. It could be installed backwards by a previous owner, or just wiped off to look new.

I would check the fuel pressure next.
