MAF wiring harness
hey everyone, i got a question for you guys. well today was a nice and sunny day, way hotter than usual, and my car stalled on me while at a stop sign. but the wierd thing was is it kinda stumbled horribly then turned off. i had this problem before and it was a bad IACV and thats been replaced and is barely 4 months old. so i turned the car back on and pulled on the side of the road and i was looking to see if anything was disconnected, while the car was on. and i put my hand to rest on the MAF sensor, and the car idle higher, then i pushed in the connector (it was still connected but i wanted to see if it made a difference) and it didnt, then i touched the wiring, and the idle got better until i let go. then i wiggled it again and it got better then the idle got low again. now i noticed the previous owner did some kind of hackjob on those wires since theyre all taped up. but i undid some of the tape and found they were fine other than the occasional bend. but what im wondering is where exactly do those wires go to. i followed them down by the alternator and they seem to pass by the coolant temp sensor. but i wanted to know where they were routed through so i can see if any got cut open and are rubbing on something. has anyone else seen this problem? or is it just a symptom of a bad MAF sensor? thanks
