TPI swap, primary fan failure
hey, im just finishing up my tpi conversion. its a 1990 5.0l tpi (4speed auto) into a 1986 T/A (5 speed standard). now i have power to my primary fan relay. but the pin on the ecm darkgrn/wht, that energizes the relay isnt doing just that.(it is pulsing voltage thorugh it) if i skip ecu and apply power at the relay on drkgrn/wht. fan turns on. sooo, this leads me to wonder why it isnt turning on. i know with autos the ttc solenoid turns off the fan when in fourth. so i assuming my problem is that. so i traced the 4th gear switcth the ecm. and its hot supplying battery voltage. i looked at the wiring diagram to see what happens with it when in fourth and it shows it as open. so should i ground the ecm 4th gear pin thats hot? the pin is ltblue d14.
