car wont start
i'm pretty sure i have it narrowed down to no spark but not sure of a way to test it. any one know a good way to test for spark, and see exactly what componet has failed?
the car is a 89 350 tpi pretty much stock. new plugs and wires with about 500 miles on them, but the rotor, cap and coil i have no idea how old they are.

Re: car wont start
got a old plug, pull a wire off at the plug on motor, attach old plug and sit it somewhere u can see and turn it over and watch for spark
but if you changed the plugs and wires(which is a pain the the *** on those cars)why didnt you changed the cap and rotor

Re: car wont start
thanks i will try that
i just bought the car with the plan of an ls1 swap, so i dont want to put alot of money into the l98, and the previous owner bought the plugs and wires for it but just never installed them, and i decided to install them when i had to do the intake gaskets. i just want a running car till i have enough parts to start the swap
