ok, so i searched and nothing came up. I recently bought a 1987 305 TPI Trans Am. Bone Stock except the cold air intake i put on it.

It wont idle. Before i bought it it idled fine, now after 1 two hour trip home and a week of sitting it wont idle at all. Its got gas, everything. WHen i start the car up it sounds like it has a huge cam. Sputters up and then rises in RPM only to dip down really low and slowly rise up again, the surge stays below 1K RPM generally, never going about 1200 that i have seen. I thought it was the MAF sensor, the maf was never hooked into the intake plumbing when i bought it, i placed it in the proper spot before driving the car and it was fine. I replaced the MAF with a used one i sourced off here, because the car idled steady at around 1500 when the maf was unplugged. Im trying to adjust IAC and TPS but i cant seem to find the torx screw to adjust IAC. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

When i went to adjust the IAC, when i unplugged the connector i noticed that it was cracked and beat up. When i unplugged the connector, it stopped making a buzzing noise that was coming from near the throttle body, it was coming from the IAC, i think because of this connector, anyways i think this might be causing my problem, but if anyone else has any other suggestions to try or any possible issues it could be please post them up, im trying to check this car over with a fine toothed comb before i put it on the road.
