My '87 5.7lt TPI is tossing a classic "Code 33". Haven't run the diagnostics yet to see exactly what the source is. So for kicks I wander into a local GM dealer today to see what their list price is on a new MAF sensor. Are you sitting down? (prices quoted are in Canadian dollars).

$1,950 ea.

I near sh*t myself right there on the spot. I've seen them on e-Bay for $750 US and some used and remans for under $400 but my gawd does GM think we're all morons?

Yeah yeah yeah, I know it costs money to hold inventory, shipping, exchange rates etc. but I can't imagine them ever selling them at this price.

Re: YGTBFKM

Yea well the dealer is a rip off no question about that. I have a bad MAF im looking to replace and autozone lists new bosh ones for around $330 US and re-maned ones for about $170 US after you exchange the core in.
