need some help

car is skipping at ldle a lil bit give it gas car drives fine try to go more the 3/4 throttle car sounds like its driving under water skips bad!.. its a l98 with vortech heads full bolt ons with what i think r 28 lb accels injectors i know there not stock the have yellow tips and the guy i got the car from said they upgraded em (not sure what brand) replaced plugs wires cap rotor still runs bad only tim it runs ok is when its cold as soon as it warms up it runs like *** ive searched ppl with the same issues as my all say bad injectors expecialy accel injectors just want to know if i missed any thing TPS and IAC r fine i checked all i could useing tuner pro nothing unusual cept injector base pulse with get super high when skipping i just need to know if theres anything i missed or if im on the right path thanks!

I had a skipping problem and it turned out to be the magnetic pickup in the distributor. Just letting ya know thats what solved my skip.

Ahh i see now that u mention it when i took the cap off the magnet and pick up didnt look to good ill keep it in mind gonna check it 2morrow

I paid like 19 bucks at NAPA and it solved all my skipping. I was going crazy trying to figure it out..New cap, rotor, wires, plugs and ignition module and still skipped. New pickup and BAM..all better!!

ill be trying that for sure might still get injectors too car has full bolt ons vortech heads comp cam 1.6 rr fast chip and 21 lb injectors so i might goto 24 ca i might be doing some more work to it soon thanks

ok so got a new ignition module didnt help if the car is in nutrual revs fine going down the road if ur curzing fine give it gas it bogs bad car has new wires cap and rotor and plugs gaped a .35(stock) cant figure this out it just happened one day after i put the new parts on im waiting on injectors hopefully thats it!!!! and advice would help thanks

new module.. and car has a FP gauge on it good at idle almost 60psi tho and its under the hood on top the the valve cover( i dont know why) so cant see it when driving car was barley ever driven so ima change fuel filter 2day ill keep posting.

Ok, well my car need a new magnetic pick inside the distrubitor itself. Your fuel pressure seem to high, try to turn it dow to 45 and see what happens

i dont know how to adjust it lol ill look 2morro, ok so only things left to change are: the pick up in the dizzy fuel injectors and check spark plugs for cracks. everything ignition and fuel wise is new im thinking u were right i got to get the pick up for a msd dizzy is thee drop in one i think tho it might use the same as a stock one tho

ok replaced pick up no changes how ever we moved timing and it got alot better so move it like 1 more degree advanced for like a total of 4 and then it wouldnt idle had to move it back to were i first started to get it to run.... so its gotta be timing and the only thing left is ECU??????? idk any more ............

ok guys hope this post helps alot of u it was a bad ECU i DC the EST wire to set the timing car ran very well no as its supposed to but it fixed the skipping and lag IE EST in ecu was not advancing timing rite and it went nuts aperntly thanks for the help man i apreciate it
