Injector Cleaning Questions
I bought a new set of Ford SVO injectors and used them about 6 months. I then pulled the engine apart. That was 3 years ago. The injectors were left in the manifold but the intake was off the car and stored in a dry but unheated garage.
Should I have the injectors cleaned before returning them to use? Run a good injector cleaner through the tank and call it good? I'm on a fairly tight budget and just didn't want to spend needless money. Will they be okay as is?
What's your ideas?
Thanks

Re: Injector Cleaning Questions
If they didnt have fuel sitting in them the whole time you should be pretty good. So long as the tops of them were covered in a way that they wouldnt get dust/dirt in them.
So long as the fuel dried quickly the worst would be a mild fuel residue that a bottle in the tank should cure. I like B-12 Chemtool injector cleaner - its powerful stuff... the stuff will remove paint like Windex removes dirt so, watch yourself!
