tpi falling apart from corrsion
tried to change my thermostat and and the housing is falling apart then i found that the water ports on the bottom of the TB had collapsed into its self and had hole all in the bottom housing does any one know what would cause this and is it common by the way the car has sat since 95

Are they all aluminum parts? Are they rotting from the inside out? If so it's likely something called "crevice corrosion". Quite common on aluminum and stainless steel parts that are deprived of oxygen. Stray current (short to body or engine) can hasten the process.

yup everything that has fallin apart has been aluminum parts and it is from the inside out

I would have to agree that it is what was previously posted...stray electrical hastening corrosion.
