Thanks

For a 305 with stock heads, IMHO, all that needs to be done is:
1) grind the lip from the lower base intake where the runners enter (you'll see it when the runners are off), make that opening a little larger than the runner exit, and smooth out the rough casting (not really "porting" it)
2) take out the egr "wall" from the plenum (port the plenum)
3) bevel the edges around the stock runners to make the runner opening at the plenum a little larger than the plenum exits
4) install an adjustable fuel pressure regulator while you're doing all this

Even if you've never used a grinder before, none of this is hard to do and you can do it with a dremel and extension wand (air grinder and 6" shank burr is best) and a drill using a 1.5" sanding roll to sure up the round opening edges.

You could buy different runners and an aftermarket base and go wild with the porting, but the bang for the buck for a basically stock 305 just isn't there.

IF you are considering a larger engine, wanted to keep the long runner system, and would "need" the larger base, runners, and T/B, I'd skip the stock type TPI all together and go straight to the FIRST "TPI" intake for about the same money.

Re: TPI (stock)

I will let you guys know what I decide, I will still consider any other alternatives as well. I have a shop here at my house so I can do the port and plenum grinding here.

Thanks and God Bless
