chip question

Will a hypertech chip from an 88 5.7 iroc work in a 87 5.7 iroc????
If not why. thanks for the help.

It should, same ecm, practically the same engine running under the same parameters. I see no reason it wouldn't work. I guess the '88 has a tiny bit more cam and flow but Id imagine hyperchips are 'generic' enough where they didn't fine tune them enough for those small changes to matter.

There were no radical changes during those years so the chip should work fine.
