Keep going through FPR diaphragms
WTF!! I keep having to replace the diaphragms in my FPR (gas pours out of vacuum line). I had a BBK AFPR and went through two diaphragms. I then installed a Holley AFPR and am going on my third, with less than 1K miles on it. Before installing the last one I filed the inner edges thinking it might be rubbing. I was obviously wrong. The leaks are around the center ring, it looks like it stretches and finally pulls out from around the ring (metal center piece). Any ideas of what could be causing this?
Thank you for any input.

Re: Keep going through FPR diaphragms
I had a Holley and it did the same thing. After replacing the diaphragm 3 times I gave up and bought a Crane AFPR. It uses a stock FPR diaphragm, and did not leak, but mine won't adjust to any level lower than 50psi.

plugged return line. The way out pressure regulator system works is the pump produces a large amount of unregulated pressure and its the pressure regulators job to bring it down to an appropriate level. It does this by bleeding off some pressure back to the tank. however if the return line is blocked it han no where to go but through the fuel pressure diaphram.
