Halfway through TPI swap-need fuel fitting help
Halfway through TPI swap-need fuel fitting help
Hi guys, I am most of the way done with my TPI swap in my 83 TA. I have the rubber hoses that attach to the fuel rails and the pressure line from the tank sender to the fuel filter. My question is how to adapt the Saginaw fittings at each end to new hard line that I am going to plumb? I have seen the adapters to AN style, but adapters from AN to tube say they are good for low pressure applications and use a compression fitting. Is there any way to do this? Thanks for any advice.

Too late now but why would you not run new flex lines ( rubber or braided s/s ) all the way from the filter to the rail as most do when doing a swap?
Re: Halfway through TPI swap-need fuel fitting help
I thought only braided will handle the pressure and I thought tubing would be easier to route than hose. I also thought it is undesirable to have that much hose. Is that how most people do this swap is to just run two braided hoses the full length under the car? Thanks for your reply. I couldn't find much info on the fuel lines, especially for swaps where you don't have a donor car.

Sorry thought you were talking about engine bay lines.
Who said hard tube compression fittings were not suited to pressure?
When installed correctly these seal as good as a regular AN fitting because the seal is on the taper formed on the end of the hard line. The tube sleeve only works as a surface for the nut to tighten against.
