Re: Question about TPI Heads
I know about the tuning that would need to be done, I'm just talking about physically bolting up.

Re: Question about TPI Heads
305 heads on a 350 block will increase compression which will give a little more horse power but, you'll run the risk of detenation. For example, a 86 305 block will have of course 305 heads. TPI heads have the same dementions as anyother chevy heads. The one big difference would be that truck heads have a swirl intake ramp which increases torque at low RPM's (for hauling heavy loads). Now if you port and polish some swirl intake heads, you can get some decent gains. But you still have to remember that the TPI intake such as the runners restrict airflow meaning that there is a loss of power..

Re: Question about TPI Heads
As for bolting up, yes the bolt pattern all lines up. The difference between the 305 TPI heads and the TPI 350 heads are that the combustion chamber will be smaller and will also be raising the compression.

Re: Question about TPI Heads
Besides, where did you ask if the TPI Intake would fit? "Ok, so I'm selling my TPI stuff from my 305, and someone with a 350 want's to know if it will fit, What years of heads will work? I know I've seen this before, but I couldn't find it. Thanks Guys. "

Did he ask you to ask this question? I ask because the system is already his right. So are you just doing him the favor?
