Fully Porting TPI intake

Ok guys i will be fully porting out my tpi intake. It is on a L-98. I will be porting the base and plenum. I will swith to a 58mm tb. Then i also have slp runners that i will be porting out.

I want to know how much i will gain? How much better will it be?

thanks

Re: Fully Porting TPI intake

The TB seems a little much, the stocker should do just fine unless you are eventualy looking at FI, a stroker or an aftermerket manifold.

You are on the right track otherwise, the runners are the only stock parts that cant be ported or modded easily so they should be the first to go.

Just knocking the EGR walls down just behind the TB flange is said to give a real seat of the pants gain, other than that it comes down to a lot of variables. No one knows exactly what you are going to do so no one can tell you quite what you'll get.

I would say 10-20 HP with 10 being most realistic. Other mods later on might help bring out more of the ported intakes potential.
