carb to efi?
I have a built 383 and it came with a 600cfm edlecbrock carb. I swapped to a manual and will be getting a holley 750 dp. I hate carbs with a passion and want efi! Is there a solution to efi that can be had for up to 1k? Thats all the money i have. I just hate to spend 400 on another carb when i could be getting better fuel economy, tunibilty, performance, and just overall performance with efi. I know this isnt alot, but i believe the computer was giving to me with some other random stuff from the previous owner. I just really need some insight. thanks guys!

One option is a used TPI from any number of resale sources like eBay or Craigslist. You can always add one of these later:

Could also find a used Ram style injection system. If you want a stock TPI system, I have most of what you would need. Have one for $350 + shipping. Usually shipping is about $100

Re: carb to efi?
Depends on the cam. There are some that don't work very well with efi. What is your lobe separation? Stock TPIs are usually good for up to 450HP. After that, they tend to choke the engine a bit.
