I'm looking for VE data on a bone stock TPI engine at peak torque and a well modified, well running, properly tuned example as well. I'm looking for some data so I can properly choose the correct big block heads. I'm considering a peanut port head, pocket ported.
I'm looking to build a BBC 496 as a tuned port with a custom built intake. I doubt the peanut port would choke that engine, but am curious to see how the data stacks up.

DeskTop Dyno 2000 (and maybe later versions) have a VE chart. You can get cam data from the vendors, and should be able to find head flow data from sites like Super Chevy. I used the program quite a bit when picking parts for my last build. The factory stock ratings matched what came out of the program for HP, Torque, and RPM they occured at. My new engine also matched quite closely, even down to the RPM numbers. (I had the new engine dyno'ed.)
I was hoping for real world data. I wanted to compare a stock TPI, decked out 350 TPI and maybe a 383 TPI to get a good idea what the VE is when they are considered to be running well and compare them back to stock. This is going to effect a ton of decisions, mostly about the cylinder heads.
