TPI 305 to TPI 350
TPI 305 to TPI 350
I own a 1987 z28 camaro with a 305, i recently bought a carberated 350 from a 80 something truck. i want to put the 350 in my car but keep the tpi from the 305, will it bolt up to my 350 that doesnt have centerbolt heads. also the 305 has vortex heads. i know all the other things that need to be done for the swap im just concerned about the heads not matching up.

Re: TPI 305 to TPI 350
this isn't going to help you, but i have questions on doing a similar job. i have an 86 camaro with the 305 tpi in it. i have a 350 that im thinking of turning into a 383 to put into it. currently its a 350 thats been bored but not stroked. what all would i need to do to make the tpi setup work correctly for either the 350 or 383 setup? swap injectors, ecms? also it is a t-top any recomendations on which way i should go. i dont want to twist the body but i also want as much power under my hood as possible.
Re: TPI 305 to TPI 350
86' and older had perimeter bolt pattern for the valve covers, 87' and newer have centerbolt valve covers and a different bolt pattern for the intake manifold. So what's 86' and older will swap, just look at the valve covers and intake. Hope that helps. I am new to TPI as well, there is some guys on this board helping me out alot! Good luck man!
