Anyone forsee an issue with running the belt this way?

This is the belt I got my car, 95.50 over all length, absolutely will NOT fit per stock diagrams and everything I can find. But it fits this way. Anyway, things seem to be working ok, the direction of pulleys seems to turn the same. Any input appreciated. Only thing I can think of is running a shorter belt.

That is how I ran mine on my 88. Never gave me any issues.

Re: Anyone forsee an issue with running the belt this way?

That's the routing I used when I ditched the smog pump on my 91. Just like that except a straight line from the crank to the A/C. Something tells me my belt was 96.8" with that routing and hit the middle of the range on the tensioner after running a few miles.

Might want to check out the tech article on this site about ditching the smog pump on a serpentine setup. It's what I referenced when I did it and the info was dead-on. Not that that's what you're doing, but it might provide some useful info nonetheless.

Is 95.5 stock length for a serpentine setup??

94.50 seems to be stock from what I can find. But I don't know how that would ever work for me either, if I route it the stock way, I have lots of excess slack, there is no tension on the belt at all. Anyway, I think this will work fine, thanks guys!
