my brother picked up an 85 iroc 305 tpi, the car idles, starts fine when starting the first time in the morning(cold start) starts fine after the car has been running for a little bit(hot start) i check vaccum lines, replaced 2 that needed it, didnt help, tested the throttle position sensor, that checks out, i also did the spray carb cleaner around everything that could leak, that also checked out, i also cleaned the the throttle body, it was hella dirty. now after reading through 50 or more old posts from last night and this morning, cause yes i love using the search function, lol..... my last thing is gotta be the map sensor.
please let me know what you think, is there anything else i should check ?

ok im getting code 22 any ideas

 

22 indicates idle control malfunction.check iac valve and make sure min. air rate properly set.

 

i pulled the aic, cleaned and reinstalled, idle is now somewhat back towards normal.
