Question about modifcations from 305 to 383
I have an 88 firebird formula with a 305 tpi that I want to pull out and put a 383 stroker in. I was wondering if anyone knows what modifications need to be made to the tpi. I have heard that I have to board out the runners and intake. I would not like to spend more than $5,000 on it. Does anyone know what the best kind of motor is to put in it? you will need to tell us more info about the 383?? RPM range, Cam,Compression,cc, valves, Gears
do you have headers ? and exhaust ? high flow cat ?
first you will need 22-24 # injectors
I would get a 52- 58 mm TB
you will need your eprom flashed to a 350 and then tuned for a 383.. and other mods
for the amount of work you will need to mod the TPI set up
I would convert to a HSR or similar if emissions is needed
