new guys intro and questions..

Sorry if Im going about this wrong, but I didnt see an intro sticky. Well My wife had been wanting a car for a while now so we started looking around and she narrowed the search to the 82 to 92 camaro. We looked and drive an 82 with 43,00 miles and a 305,,,,,,,and man what a pig it was. So we kept on looking and we came across a realy nice 89 tpi 350 5.7 with 88,000 miles on it. It came with .......................................................
headers
3 inch exhaust
no cat
lingenfelter throttle body
holly intake
stock air filter system (im thinking its hindering performance a bit?)
and some kind of chip??
turbo 400 trans with a shift kit
stall converter unknown?
Well the car seems to have a healthy amount of power the idle is smooth and consistent and take off is very crisp. But the fuel mileage is pretty darn bad, and the valve covers he installed have a k&n style filter on it which seems to spit out an excesive amout of blow by ( not sure how to fix the blow by or is it normal?????
So the questions are
1 whats with the fuel mileage??
And how can I keep the blow by from happening??
Also should I install a cold air intake since it has a pretty health exhaust system as well as the throttle body and intake??
Thanks in advance for any and all help
heres a few pics of the car
