350 motor question

350 motor question
hey whats up i have a 87 iroc and my motor is shot and its hard for me to find another tpi 350 i was wondering can i just use any 350 block and reuse my tpi or do i have to get a tpi 350 all i kno is that it has a factor roller cam and lifters thats it so i wanted to kno if its possible or not

Any 87 up 1 pc RMS/roller motor will do. There's a jillion TBI/Vortec 350's from pick ups in bone yards. I think TBI's will come with a flat tappet cam, though. But, they'll work.

thanks and i guess it would be good to get a vortec motor since the heads are good right and other thing if i do get a tbi one cant i just put my roller cam in it

vortech heads have different intake manifold bolt patterns , lifters are hydraulic rollers . just get a 88 and up 350 block , swap your intake and sensors over to the new block , IMPORTANT dont forget to switch your stock cam over to the new block thats if you want to keep it stock . if you get a vortech block just use your 350 tpi heads on the vortech block.
