aftermarket regulator questions

I was thinking of getting an aftermarket regulator and mounting on an inner wheel well. I can't get my pressure lower then 60psi so I want a better then stock regulator. I was simply going to take the rubber hose under the hood and go threw the regulator. The big question is can I connect the return to the bottom of the aftermarket one and simply cap off the orginal one from the intake or could I "T" in both returns?the original regulator will still be installed but if I give the motor 43 to 45 psi of fuel it shouldn't return any fuel. What have guys done in th past?

Re: aftermarket regulator questions

If you are sure its the regulator you can get new stock ones from rock auto. If you decide to go with an external one you need to figure out how to bypass the internal one.

Re: aftermarket regulator questions

its a new regulator. It doesn't leak etc. I'm gonna disconnect the return and see if fuel is going back to tank. If not there must be a block after the regulator.
