is my fuel pump bad
ok here the deal in the mornings when i go start the bird(1990) it takes 3 to 4 seconds of cranking before the needle moves from 0 on the oil pressure gauge but its only when it gets to about 30 (which takes another 4 secs to climb to) is when it wants to try to start and if i get it to start it runs like a champ no codes or anything my and it will keep starting fine with little to no hesitation unless i leave it alone for more than 2-3 hours then its back to just cranking with no start and then the process repeats.
Here are a list of parts i changed recently to fix the problem or just to replace because they were old:
distributor/cap/rotor/coil/hei
fuel pump relay
injectors
oil pressure sensor
knock sensor
fuel pressure regulator diaphram
map sensor
coil pack
battery
oil pump was replace a year ago with a high volume one but the car has seen maybe 15 miles since then.
my psi is at 32 and i know it should be higher any help would be appreciated

this is tpi correct. you are testing your fuel pressure at schrader valve on fuel rail with fuel cap off. are you getting any codes.

Bringing this post back from the dead...
Im new to the forum, i have a 1989 camaro rs 305 tbi. Im having what appears to he a fuel pump/filter/line issue. The problem started when i was driving up a mountan. My car seemed to run out of gas (gas gauge doesn't work) and it had been about that time to fill up, so i assumed it just ran out of gas. I got the car turned around and rolled down the road, stopped at a gas station and proceeded to fill my car up, it only took in 9 gallons. I found this weird, i started to drive home and after about 50 miles the car shut off as if it ran out of gas again. Obviously i was not out of gas so i was very confused. I had someone bring me 2 gallons of gas, it started right up and i drove home. Then again it happened after about 40 miles.
Does anyone have any idea what this problem found be? Sorry for the long drawn out story, details are a passive attribute now thanks to the military.
