I had a question can you take any 85 camaro 305/350 carb and turn into tpi is this possible i am new to this and i want to buy 305 or 350 build it for my 85 v6 camaro also my 2.8 is fuel injected so if i wanted to go with 305 or 350 carb could i make that switch and pass smog emissions in california?

 

It is possible, but there is more to it than just swapping motors, the tranny needs to be swapped too, for what it's going to cost you could hunt down a decent third gen with a 350 already in it.

 

Yeah that was the plan to find a thirdgen camaro with a 305 or 350 but i didnt have any luck my budget was 1,000 for one and i found this v6 with the body is straight not crash no dents got it for $250 the only thing that was bad was the owner drove it with lil oil and mess up the crankshaft berings with the oil pump and when i turn it on u could hear a knocking inside the engine so i am almost done with the engine rebuild with performance parts to give more of a kick then up grade my gears to 3.73
