89 Iroc 5.0 won't start
Looking for some help with this. I have checked all spark and fuel pressure. Car was running fine and then died. If i spray starting fluid it starts right up and runs, will sit and run for a while, I shut it off and it wont restart unless I spray more starting fluid in. Any ideas?

Re: 89 Iroc 5.0 won't start
My first guess would be a bad ignition module or a bad pick up coil.

Re: 89 Iroc 5.0 won't start
I have replaced cap, rotor, plugs, wires, coil, fuel filter, removed old gas, tested pressure at fuel rail, is staying at about 40 lbs running or key on. Car will start and run using starting fluid, but not on it's own. After starting with starting fluid I plugged in MAF sensor to put air filter housing back on and car died. I hooked everything up, got in car an it started. Then turned car off and it wouldn't start again...still looking for ideas...

take the ignition module to autozone and have it tested. if you have an ohm meter test across the contacts on the pick up coil, anything lower than 800 ohms it should be replaced.

Tested it, showing at 1056. So I am guessing it is okay. Not sure what to try next. Any help appreciated...thanks
