85 trans am tpi performance advice
i have an 85 trans am with the tuned port injection and im looking to make some more horsepower than the stock 215. i was thinking about doing a cam, headers, and a new exhaust. what kind of heads are cheap? i dont want to waste money though.what kind of cam should i get? i dont want a rediculous idle but i do want some good power. should i get 2 1/2 inch custom duals? or would a three inch single exhaust do the same thing for me performance wise? please help me, an imput would really be appreciated, but an exact cobination and telling me the horsepower id gain and the price would be the best thing i could ask for. thanks!

I would give the car a full exhaust to start off. A nice set of headers and y pipe and a 3 inch catback would be good. Sometimes with a full exhaust you can expect about a 15-20 hp gain. This is the cam that I went with for my 305 TPI. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CCA-12-314-4/ Not a big cam, but an upgrade from the stock one. World Products makes a descent set of heads for your motor. Link here http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WRL-042650-1/.
